From 9E Prosecutor Dan Turner
Formal charges were submitted for filing Friday, Oct. 16, against 20-year-old Treveon Jeffers of Prescott , 21-year-old Omareon Deshawn Nunally of Nashville, and 19-year-old Hershall Williams Jr. of Arkadelphia.
Jeffers and Nunally were arrested following an investigation of a firearm theft and a later incident occurring on the campus of Henderson State University. The investigation was conducted jointly between the Arkadelphia Police Department and Henderson State University Police Department.
As listed in the affidavits accompanying the formal charges, on the date of Sept. 2, 2026, at approximately 2:02 a.m., APD officers were dispatched to 201 S. 1st St. for a report of a robbery and theft that had just occurred.
Officers were informed by the victim that several black males, including Jeffers and Nunally, visited the victim’s residence earlier that evening. The victim reported that Treveon Jeffers took the victim’s Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun from his person, chambered a cartridge into the handgun and the left the residence with the other individuals.
On Sept. 4 officers of the HSU Police Department received a request to accompany housing staff for a room check at a residence hall on the campus due to the alleged odor of marijuana. During the room check, Jeffers and Nunally were present and ultimately fled the scene while standing outside the room accompanied by HSU Housing staff before law enforcement officers arrived. Neither Jeffers nor Nunally are students at Henderson.
Ultimately, officers found several firearms. In the dorm room of Hershall Williams Jr., officers found a Glock Model 19 and a Glock 43x handgun. The Glock 43x handgun was listed as stolen by the Hope Police Department. Additionally, officers found the stolen Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun in a separate area of the residence hall. Officers also determined that the Glock 23 which had been stolen was equipped with an unlawful device that modified the weapon from semi-automatic operation in violation of federal and state law. Officers later arrested the victim on unrelated charges stemming from the illegal firearm modification.
Jeffers was formally charged with the offenses of Possession of Firearms on School Property, a class D felony; Theft of Property, a class D felony; Criminal Use of Prohibited Weapons, a class D felony; and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, a class B felony. Nunally was formally charged with the offense of Possession of Firearms on School Property, a class D felony. Williams was formally charged with the offenses of Theft by Receiving and Possession of Firearms on School Property, both class D felonies.
Jeffers, Nunally and Williams previously appeared before Clark County Circuit Judge Blake Batson following their arrests with Williams’s bond being set at $35,000 and Jeffers and Nunally’s bond set at the amount of $85,000 each subject to additional conditions of electronic monitoring, random drug screens, no contact with the campus of Henderson State University and no possession of weapons. Arraignment for all 3 individuals has been scheduled for November 3, 2026 in Clark County Circuit Court.
