ARKADELPHIA — The Ouachita Baptist University volleyball team posted a season-high hitting percentage in route to a 3-0 victory over Central Baptist College at home on Monday. Final game scores were 25-11, 25-15, and 25-7.
The Tigers (6-11) hit .366 as a team, the highest percentage for the program since hitting .508 in a win over Southwest Baptist on August 31, 2018. In Monday’s win over the Mustangs (6-5), Ouachita totaled 41 kills on 93 swings with only seven errors.
EJ Day and Emily Low led the Tigers with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Low had no errors on 16 swings, matching her career high in hitting percentage at .625. She also had four total blocks in the win.
Kellen Church and Temi Fayiga each reached double-figures in assists with 19 and 11, respectively. Church also led the team in digs with 12 for her fifth consecutive double-double, and 11th overall of the season.
The Tigers are back to Great American Conference action this weekend at home against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday and Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday.
