The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, Sept. 19
6:50 p.m.
A DeGray Road man reported leaving his wallet on the service desk at Walmart. Surveillance video captured a white female, next in line, pick up the wallet.

11:26 a.m.
Officers responded to an unattended death at an apartment on Cypress Road.

12:57 p.m.
A bicyclist reported crashing at the 1000 block of Pine Street when a loose wire from a light pole became entangled in his handlebar. The man suffered minor cuts on his legs, and the $1,000 bike was a total loss.

Friday, Sept. 17
Police opened a felony case of breaking and entering/articles stolen from a vehicle.
Police opened a felony case of breaking and entering.
Police opened an harassment case involving a juvenile.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office

Sunday, Sept. 19
2:56 a.m.
Deputies responded to a residence at the 200 block of Deceipher Hill Road for a physical altercation involving two people “hitting each other with sticks” over a four-hour period.

3:15 p.m.
Deputies arrested a man at the 800 block of Hearn Road for violating a protection order.

Gene McKinnley Tigue, 30, was arrested for a probation violation.
Gary Smith, 51, was arrested for violating a no-contact order.

  1. I left my wallet in the men’s restroom at Walmart several months ago. I realized it when I was checking out and hurried back to the restroom only to find it wasn’t there. I proceeded to the service desk, waited in line to ask about it, and praise the Lord, some HONEST soul had found it and turned it in. Thank you, whoever you are.
