For 19 years and counting, a local volunteer organization has been helping the community one project at a time.
On this particular Tuesday, 340 local families will receive a box of food.
Ouachita Baptist University held its 51st Tiger Serve Day on Saturday, with 763 Ouachita students, faculty and staff completing 74 projects across Arkadelphia.
The group is seeking anyone who cares about public lands, whether it’s a Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, school groups, employee groups, fishing clubs, scuba clubs, church groups or individuals.
Of the 55 kids currently in foster care in Clark County, only 10 of them have someone to check in on them and make certain their voice is heard in the judicial process.
“Most people don’t realize the Clark County Fair Association is completely made up of volunteers,” said Jennifer Hawthorn, fair co-treasurer. “And we’re always in the market for new volunteers.”
