The concert will feature a wide variety of instruments and musical styles. There are pieces for drums and percussion, a piece for glockenspiel and vibraphone that sounds like a music box.
Saturday’s concert is free and open to the public. Attendance is limited to 50 guests, and masks are required.
A new endowed scholarship has been created for students pursuing a bachelor of music education degree at Henderson State University.
The competition is designed to identify the best instrumental soloist and is open to all wind and percussion students.
During the concert, there will be a “Pan Cam” being broadcast live to the back wall of the stage so the audience will be able to see inside the instruments and watch students play them up close.
ARKADELPHIA — The Ouachita Baptist University Band will present its Christmas concert Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.
