Jimmy King said he hated to be the bearer of bad news before he informed school board members Tuesday that the Badger Stadium turf project wouldn’t be finished prior to kickoff of the 2022 football season.
The Arkadelphia Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Dawson Building #3, 700 Clinton St.
School board members learned that the turf should be finished in time for the 2022 football season.
A project manager for Hellas explained to the school board that removing the current turf unearthed a swath of issues relating to drainage and stability beneath the turf.
