Jerry Don Ricketts, age 63, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his home. He was born June 21, 1963, in Wichita, KS, the son of Roy Wayne and Mary Ann Lockridge Ricketts.
Jerry was a 1981 graduate of Gurdon High School and held an associate degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical College. He was a self-employed salesman for Del Rada Payroll Co. Jerry was a member of Whelen Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing and scuba diving in his free time.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Ricketts and his brother, Ronnie Ricketts, grandparents, Ezra and Minnie Ricketts and Buster and Imagene Lockridge.
Survivors are his mother, Mary Ann Ricketts of Gurdon, his wife, Jayne Dickerson Rickettsl of Gurdon, two sons, Brice and Chance both of Grand Prairie, TX, one daughter, Laci Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 16, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Taylor and Bro. Randy Murphy officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be in South Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Matthew Ricketts, Jason Ricketts, Conner Ricketts, Robbie Moore, Russell Paige and Tony Wicker.
