Paul Dean Shuffield, Sr., age 87, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia.  He was born January 14, 1936, in Bismarck, the son of the late Harvey and Cordelia Sheets Shuffield.  

Paul was a 1954 graduate of Bismarck High School.  He was a salesman for Jordan Oldsmobile and Buick for many years.  Paul was a member of Bismarck First Baptist Church.  He enjoyed singing, gardening and working outside in his free time.  

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, C.O. Shuffield and H.L. “Sonny” Shuffield, two sisters, Gennievee Jackson and Shelby Jean McWha Langham.

Survivors are his wife of sixty-nine years, JoAnn Counts Shuffield of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Hughes of Bismarck, two sons, Ron Shuffield (Debbie) of Bismarck and Paul Shuffield, Jr. of Arkadelphia, one sister, Joie Stephens of Hot Springs, seven grandchildren, Summer Calhoun (Brent), Sarah Robinson (Brandon), Ryan Shuffield (Adi), Spencer Shuffield (Kristen), Nicholas Shuffield, Bradley Shuffield (Amanda) and Harrison Shuffield, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 28, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Bismarck with Bro. Fred Hunter and Bro. Hal Dixon officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time Monday at the church.

Interment will be in Old Bismarck Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are the Quartet Members over the years.
