Dispatch Desk: Altercation over gold chain ends in injuries

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed June 15-21, 2026, at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested or cited individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names, so don’t even think about asking.

Felony incident still under investigation: Possession of Meth/Cocaine, no address listed

Tuesday, June 16

10:55 a.m.
Police responded to an unattended death at Cutler Terrace Apartments, 1401 Cutler St. The deceased was a 57-year-old male who had just been released from the hospital after a five-week stay and disregarded a doctor’s recommendation. The coroner was contacted to transport the body.

Wednesday, June 17

4:13 p.m.
Police were called to a Cutler Street residence for a dispute over personal property. After speaking with the involved parties, no action was taken.

11:20 p.m.
A Camden woman reported that she suffered injuries during a domestic disturbance involving her ex-boyfriend. The altercation happened in the parking lot at Jordan’s convenience store, 203 N. 10th St., during a cash exchange for a gold chain she purchased back from him after the breakup. Tension swelled between the two, and the male reportedly shoved the woman to the ground, ultimately collecting both the money and jewelry and driving off. Grabbing the window frame as he drove away, the female was dragged a short distance before falling to the pavement and receiving abrasions to her knees and face. She was advised of warrant procedures, and the injuries she displayed were not consistent with a physical altercation.

Thursday, June 18

5:03 p.m.
Patrolling from Rose Hill Cemetery, an officer observed a traffic violation at 12th and Main streets, conducting a stop at 12th and Caddo. The officer caught a whiff of marijuana as he approached the vehicle, operated by Charlie Aguilar, 19, of Arkadelphia. A probable cause search ensued, leading to the discovery of pot and paraphernalia. A return on Aguilar’s information revealed that he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Aguilar was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (less than 4 oz), no driver’s license and failure to obey a stop sign.

Saturday, June 20

3:08 p.m.
An El Dorado woman reported a hit-and-run accident at 6th and Crawford streets, where the other driver backed into the front of her vehicle.

4:17 p.m.
A Forrest Park Drive couple reported the theft of two power cables from their RV. The equipment was valued at $500. Detectives were advised of the theft.
