The National Weather Service in Little Rock says an active pattern will persist for at least the next couple days. Chances for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast both Wednesday, May 27, and again for Thursday.
Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be the primary threat with the strongest activity.
Arkadelphia’s Wednesday night forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the early morning hours of Thursday with a low around 65. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch will be possible.
Thursday is calling for a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. under cloudy skies, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms persists Thursday night and into early Friday morning, with a low around 64 and calm winds. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
There will be a chance of showers Friday between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. Partly sunny skies with a high near 82 and a calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
The extended forecast says there is a slight chance for showers throughout the weekend.
