Arkansas Education Secretary Jacob Oliva joined Forward Arkansas for a visit this week at Peake Elementary School in Arkadelphia.
Oliva’s visit was to see firsthand the impact of the inaugural state-based outcomes based contracting cohort (OBC) in action.
Arkadelphia Public Schools joined four other districts across the state this school year to implement an OBC for their high-impact tutoring programs. Through the LEARNS Act, districts received grants to cover the costs of HIT for eligible K-12 students in math and/or English language arts.
