William Michael “Mike” Scott, age 67, of Okolona, passed from this life on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born February 20, 1959, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late William “Scotty” and Barbara Ann Shope Scott.
Mike was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He was a Baptist by faith. Mike was a heavy equipment operator, a mechanic, logger and oil field worker during his lifetime. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, working on his farm where he loved his animals.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Amy Scott.
Survivors are one daughter, Mikayla Wright (Cody) of Okolona, one granddaughter, Kenslee Wright of Okolona and one brother, David Scott (Barbara) of North Bend, WA.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Clawitter officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
