Floyd Curry

Floyd Curtis Curry, 95, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

He was born June 29, 1928, in Lectra, Texas, to Thomas Brown Curry and Dora Mae Daws Curry.

Floyd worked as a casthouse superintendent for The Patterson Reduction Plant. 

He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.  He also served in The United States Army during The Korean War.  Floyd was also very proud of his twenty-five years of volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: J.B. Curry, Bob Curry and Roy Curry; his sisters: Ruth Curry Smith, Becky Curry Lanius and Ruby Faye Curry Hahn.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years: Dot Garner Curry; his sons: Tom (Jeanie) Curry of Arkadelphia and Randy (Jean) Curry of Salina, Kansas; his sister: Mary Ellen Curry of New Braunfels, Texas; three grandchildren, one step grandchild and four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Sparkman, Arkansas.
