Dr. Charles Adolph Weiner, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was born August 21, 1940, in Memphis, TN, the son of the late Adolph Charles and Louise McCarthy Weiner.
Charles was a 1958 graduate of Christian Brothers High School. He received his B.S. in 1963, his M.A. in 1967, and his Ed.D. in 1972 from Memphis State University. Charles was a licensed clinical psychologist and emeritus professor of education and counseling at Henderson State University from 1972 to 2012. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arkadelphia. Charles enjoyed reading and playing racquetball in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Andrew Weiner, one sister, Ann Weiner Burress and one brother-in-law, John Glonek.
Survivors are his wife of fifty-two years, Maria Regina Eickhoff Weiner of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Erika Clifton (Bobby Joe) of Arkadelphia, one granddaughter, Anna Clifton of Bismarck, one sister, Claudia Glonek of Marietta, GA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 11, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arkadelphia with Father Mark Wood officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday evening at Welch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
