Carolyn Ann Howell Arnold, age 79, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Arkadelphia. She was born February 3, 1947, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Coleman and Tressie Smith Howell.
Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She was a hairdresser at Country Heritage in Arkadelphia for many years. Carolyn was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Bunko, gardening, watchings hummingbirds, cooking, singing, her dogs and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are one daughter, Shelley Kaye Alvine of Burleson, TX, one son, Christopher Glen Arnold (Stacy) of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren, Carley Alvine, Colton Arnold, Tessa Arnold, Lewis Rogers, Sami Jo Thrift and Christopher Alvine, four great-grandchildren, Noah, Ella and Cutter Thrift and Maxtyn Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 27, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. James Guthrie and Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Lewis Rogers, Patrick Wright, Brady Thrift, Matt Nordine, Tanner Furr and Kenny Jackson.
