Ruth Delores “Lois” Evans, age 81, of Donaldson passed from this life on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Lois was born on June 30,1943 in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Cecil and Willie Mae Campbell.
She was a 1962 graduate of North Little Rock High School. Lois worked a variety of jobs in her lifetime: a bank teller, a bookkeeper at Bismarck School District, a bookkeeper at Carter Chevrolet in Arkadelphia, owner of Paramount Office Products in Arkadelphia, a secretary and a dorm mom at Ouachita Baptist University, and a 4 star salesperson at Cracker Barrel. She was of the Baptist faith.
Lois enjoyed working in her yard by mowing her grass and tending her plants. Most of all, she loved attending the music concerts/events of her children. Her two sons were her pride and joy, and she loved to speak about their accomplishments to everyone.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Sonny Evans, and one brother, Billy Campbell.
Lois is survived by two sons, Stony Evans (Cindy) of Bauxite and Jody Evans of Arkadelphia, one sister, Tammy Boyer (Brett) of Taft, Tennessee, and one sister-in-law, Martine Campbell of Scott, Arkansas.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27th, 2:00-4:00, at Welch Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Prairie Bayou Church of Christ on Monday, October 28th at 10:00 with Bro. Patrick Greer officiating.
Burial will follow at Prairie Bayou Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Hughes, Tony Hughes, Darren Bunn, Jason Jackson, Jason Watson, and Billy Paul Chaves.
