The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Oct. 12
4:40 p.m.
A man reported being defrauded of $10,000 by a Benton-based window company after agreeing to purchase the windows but later changing his mind, only to discover the transaction had already been charged to his account. The customer phoned police the next day to renege his complaint, as he had made contact with the company owner and settled the dispute.

11:03 a.m.
A Walnut Street man reported the theft of a Pro2A Tactical Patriot .308 Winchester with a 20-round magazine.
Friday, Oct. 17
Felony incident still under investigation: Theft by deception, 800 block of South 23rd Street
1:23 p.m.
A Hot Springs man reported the theft of his outboard motor, a 1999 Mariner 15HP, which he kept stored at an Arkadelphia residence but made the discovery when he was in town to sell the boat. The boat and trailer were still present. The last time he recalled seeing the property was Oct. 5.
2:30 p.m.
Police were called to Southern Bancorp’s downtown branch for a complaint of a panhandler partially blocking the drive through. Contact was made with William Anthony Stone, 50, of Arkadelphia, who was holding a sign. Informed that his presence was not welcome, Stone replied that he would be willing to leave soon but first needed to take a nap due to medication he’d just taken. Stone declined medical attention and said he was unsure who he was at the moment. Officers’ attempts to convince Stone to go home fell on deaf ears, and in their attempt to give him a ride home in a police car, Stone started shouting, and made his body limp. The five officers on scene physically assisted Stone into a police car and transported him to the jail for disorderly conduct.
5:30 p.m.
Officers responded to Tiger Mart, 203 N. 10th St., for a welfare check on a driver whose car was being pulled from a drainage ditch in the gas station parking lot. Contact was made with the driver, James Roy McDaniel, 62, of Arkadelphia, who exhibited signs of intoxication. McDaniel advised that he had taken Xanax, and was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the jail.

4:10 a.m.
A Walnut Street woman reported someone damaged four glass windows of her residence, suspecting a known female to be the culprit of the damages. She was advised to inform her landlord of the incident and how to obtain a No Contact Order against the suspect.
4:13 p.m.
Police took a missing person report at Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., where a female said her friend, 27-year-old Mohamed Abredelrehim had left at about 11 a.m. to get food at El Parian. Abredelrehim was described as a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing about 280 pounds, and wearing all black clothing at the time he left.
10:26 p.m.
Officers were called to West Pine Exxon, 3036 Pine St., for a report of a found firearm. A cashier handed in a Glock 43 9mm pistol in a pocket-style holster. The cashier advised that the gun had been brought inside by a customer who remained in the parking lot. The customer said he found the gun on the ground on the east side of the parking lot, and took it inside for law enforcement to be notified. The firearm was collected and transported to the police department evidence room.
