Dispatch Desk: May 19-26, 2025

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, May 19
9:20 a.m.
An officer was summoned to Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., for a report of a .22 caliber pistol found in a recently vacated apartment. The gun was collected into an evidence bag and taken to the police department.

7:35 p.m.
A resident at the 900 block of South 11th Street reported coming home to find a pair of bricks in her driveway. A doorbell camera showed only that the bricks had been thrown onto the drive that afternoon.

Tuesday, May 20
1 a.m.
A Country Club Road man reported being the victim of an assault outside his residence. He said the unknown suspect, in a white SUV, nearly pulled in front of him at Lark or Ashbury, then followed him home and bumped the rear of his vehicle. After confronting the stranger, the guy struck him in the head with what was believed to be a pistol, causing injury to his left ear.

Police began investigating a pair of thefts at Walnut Square Apartments, 1010 S. 16th St. The property was valued between $1,000-$5,000, making them both felonies. The Arkadelphia Police Department does not allow public inspection of felony incident reports still under investigation.

Wednesday, May 21
4:34 p.m.
A resident of Powder Mill Apartments, 2801 Twin Rivers Dr., reported the theft of a vehicle registration sticker from her license plate.

Thursday, May 22
1:45 a.m.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Walnut Street for a domestic disturbance. After speaking with both parties, an officer requested dispatch to run the male subject, 39-year-old Stacey Lee Harris, through a crime database, learning that there was an active protection order requiring him to stay away from the caller. Harris was arrested at the scene for violation of the order.

1:53 p.m.
The theft of a bicycle was reported at the 1500 block of Gresham Street. The resident showed security footage capturing the theft involving two juveniles, although officers at the scene were unable to identify the suspects.

Friday, May 23
11:23 a.m.
Dispatchers advised of an anonymous call advising of a suspicious vehicle at Southview Apartments, 650 S. 5th St. An officer arrived to find the unlicensed vehicle occupied by two adults. A crime database inquiry revealed an active no contact order for Christopher Obryan Jones, 36, requiring him to stay away from the other occupant of the vehicle. Jones was taken into custody for violating the order, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

10 p.m.
A Walmart asset protection officer flagged down a policeman to show surveillance footage of someone stealing a customer’s wallet. The footage showed the incident take place in the electronics department and provided a clothing description of the suspect, who was seen leaving the store and walking to a van waiting in the parking lot. Officers approached the van, owned by the Harvest House substance rehabilitation facility, and found a person matching the description. The suspect, Phillip Ira Falls, 51, denied taking the wallet. Falls had a full-extradition warrant out of Texas. More officers arrived and reviewed the footage, further questioning Falls about the wallet’s whereabouts. Falls was taken into custody, and police were granted permission to search the van, finding the wallet beneath a passenger seat. In addition to the Texas warrants, Falls was cited for theft of property. The wallet was returned to its owner, who noted nothing missing from it.

Saturday, May 24
12:30 p.m.
Officers were called to a residence at the 200 block of North 16th Street for a domestic incident. Speaking with both parties and observing minor physical injuries, police arrested Chelsea Nicole Roscoe, 32, for third-degree domestic battery.

6:16 p.m.
An officer was called to investigate a noise complaint at Lark Place, but heard nothing. The caller was advised of legal procedures.

7:20 p.m.
A C Street couple complained that a pair of known suspects stole a gas-filled fuel container from their carport, swapping it with an empty one, on May 19. The pair said they had since confronted the other couple about the theft and gave them the opportunity to return the gas, but they failed to do so. They were advised of the process to pursue charges at the prosecutor’s office. Later that evening the suspect couple were pulled over for an unrelated traffic offense. Questioned about the fuel container’s whereabouts, the couple said that one of the callers were aware they would be taking it, and that they had full intentions of returning the original container, full of gas.

10:25 p.m.
Officers were called to Family Dollar, 1550 Pine St., where employees reported someone drove by and shot paint balls at the store exterior. Police searched the area to find five other Pine Street businesses and six vehicles had been targets of the vandalism.

Thursday, May 22
6:16 p.m.
Deputies responded to an ATV accident at 614 Highway 128, Joan. The lone occupant of the four-wheeler had apparently struck a tree. Pafford medics arrived and transported the 50-year-old male to the old Joan store, where he was med-flighted to UAMS for further treatment.
