The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Friday, Dec. 13
10:30 a.m.
A rental property manager reported finding graffiti in a recently vacated home on Lynwood Drive. The previous tenant was likely to blame as the vandalism contained his name and initials. The complainant was advised of warrant procedures.
Monday, Dec. 16
1:27 p.m.
An officer took a report of a car accident that happened a week prior in the parking lot at Brookshire’s. The female complainant said her vehicle was struck on the left side, but that she didn’t report the accident then because she was in a hurry; she said she had since developed back and wrist pain.
Tuesday, Dec. 17
11:02 a.m.
A school resource officer en route to Goza Middle School came across an elderly lady holding her arm as she walked toward the school from Splash Car Wash. After making contact, the lady informed that she had been run over by her own vehicle after falling down outside the automatic car wash bay. She had left her car in gear when she exited to insert money. She was transported from the scene to Baptist Health Medical Center.

2:26 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Walmart for a complaint of a shoplifter. Asset protection advised the suspect, 21-year-old Sarah Faith Warren, of Arkadelphia, had stolen four items totaling $35. Warren was transported to jail, where she was issued a citation for property theft.
Wednesday, Dec. 18
10:16 a.m.
An officer was requested at Brookshire’s, where a manager advised that an employee had been fired for stealing about $350 worth of groceries, which the employee confessed to relabeling and paying less for them at the register. The employee had also been caught on camera skip-scanning at a self checkout register. No arrest was made.
10:35 a.m.
A woman phoned police to report that her boyfriend, during an argument, had ditched her and her child on the side of the road en route to Arkadelphia from Gurdon. Police met up with the boyfriend at a Thompson Road apartment complex and stood by as he gathered his belongings.
Thursday, Dec. 19
9:56 a.m.
A resident reported that, after noticing an increase in her credit card payments, she discovered two fraudulent purchases, totaling more than $850, had been made at separate Lowe’s stores in Texas and Florida.
11:39 a.m.
Police were called to Dunkin’, where an employee said his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend had maced the counter and floor and fled.
Juvenile report: Theft
4:23 p.m.
An employee of a machinist shop on Chevrolet Drive complained that a car hauler, after delivering a shipment to Southwest Auto Collection, had ignored signs that the property wasn’t for use as a truck turnaround. The pickup hauling the vehicles had created ruts in the lawn. Police were given the license plate number, the driver’s name and a video of him leaving the property. The complainant was advised a report would be on file.
4:25 p.m.
Police investigated a report of a hit-and-run vehicle accident that happened at W.P. Malone Drive and Pine Street.
Friday, Dec. 20

9:51 a.m.
An Ashbury Court woman reported two of her car tires had been cut. A similar incident had happened to a vehicle she had been lent the week prior.

6:13 p.m.
A female told officers she had been assaulted, for no apparent reason, by a known female outside Tiger Mart.
8:48 p.m.
Officers were called to a fight in progress at 321 S. 2nd St. The parties had separated when police arrived. Lindsey Nicole Piggee, 26, of Arkadelphia, said she had been jumped by some known females. Smelling of alcohol and acting belligerently toward the other party, Piggee was detained while officers spoke with the other party, who relayed that Piggee was the aggressor and that she had also used a chair to strike her vehicle multiple times during the kerfuffle. Piggee, meanwhile, was hitting at the window of the officer’s patrol car. She was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
Saturday, Dec. 21

6:10 a.m.
Officers were summoned at the Clark County Detention Center when a jailer, while booking Lindsey Piggee, discovered she had concealed 12 grams of marijuana in her pants. Piggee was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Sunday, Dec. 22
1:30 a.m.
Officers were summoned to Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., where a female reported her boyfriend had attacked her during a confrontation. The male subject fled afterward. She was advised to call police should he return.

4:05 p.m.
A James Road (Southfork) man reported a neighbor’s three dogs chased his children inside and attacked his own dog in the process, causing serious injuries to the protecting canine. A deputy was unable to make contact with the neighbor.
