News about a Magnolia Police Department investigation into a sexual assault has prompted community concern, and a statement from Southern Arkansas University Police.
Magnolia Police said earlier that the department is investigating a sexual assault reported on Monday, September 30, 2024. It asked Magnolia residents – especially those who live in the northern part of the city – to make sure the doors and windows of their homes are secure.
“Due to the sensitivity of this investigation, no other information is being released at this time. Appropriate information will be released as the investigation develops,” the statement said.
