Christine D. Burns-Revels, born January 8, 1973, a resident of Vancouver, Washington, died at her home unexpectedly on August 9, 2024, at the age of 51.
She leaves behind her husband, Vince Revels; two sons, Malcolm Bailey, Joseph Charles Newborn; two grandchildren, Maddon Bailey and Margaret Christine Newborn. She also leaves behind two sisters Ty Stacey and Monisha Ramey, her grandmother, Shirley Ann Burns; uncles, Lawrence Phillips (Crystal) and James Dickerson. A nephew and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Jean Jernigan (Arkadelphia) and her father, Ulus Randolph Henry (Las Vegas, NV).
Christine was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. At an early age she began to work hard and accomplish her many life goals. First to be a licensed hair stylist, then moving on to obtain her bachelor’s and master’s degree in business. She raised two wonderful men and fought to ensure that they would have a good life. In 2020, she moved to Kennewick, Washington, then to Vancouver, where she met Vince Revels, shortly after the two married. Chris enjoyed travel and nature during her time in Vancouver. She also enjoyed working with those less fortunate than herself. She truly tried to live life to the fullest and enjoy every day. Christine was deeply loved and will be missed by many. May she rest in peace.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Williams Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Greater Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
