Christine Hunter

Ecclesiastes 3:1 states, For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven Christine was born to the late Rev Cleophus and Lorene (Jones) Jefferson in Foster Arkansas on Aug 30, 1941.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 states, “A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace” She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Daniel Louis Hunter Sr on May 31, 1959 they were married for 38 years until his passing in 1998. To this union they were blessed with 8 children, Cora, Twyla, Daniel JR, Anthony, Christopher, Judie and Lorraine.  Proverbs 3:24 (NIV) states: “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet”Christine Jefferson Hunter was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.

Christine entered into eternal life on Sunday February 1, 2026 at the age of 84. Christine accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and loved her Church family at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the WMU, Senior Saints and Greater Pleasant Hill Sanctuary Choir. Christine was instrumental in establishing a soup ministry to feed the Arkadelphia sanitation workers which continues on annually today. She joyfully looked forward for this annual event.  Christine was a 1960 Graduate of Peake High School, she was an alumni and loved her alma mater Dearly. One of her favorite past times was her weekly visits to the Beehive Thrift Store and sitting on her front porch.. Christine was the Queen of Fashion and you could always look forward to seeing her dressed beautifully head to toe especially on Sunday Mornings. Christine had a powerful love for her Family and friends. She poured love into every person that she encountered.

Christine is preceeded in death by her Husband, Daniel Hunter Sr, her infant daughter Lorriane Hunter, Her Mother Lorene J Easter and father Rev Cleophus Jefferson, Her Brother Cleophus Jefferson Jr, and her Sister Mary Johnson who passed on Feb 1, 2022.

Christine Jefferson Hunter is survived by Cora Hunter Garland (Levi) Arkadelphia,Ar,Twyla Hunter Smith(Aaron),,Victorville,Ca, Daniel Lewis Hunter Jr (Bevelyn) Farmersville,La,Anthony Donnie Hunter (Shelia) Arkadelphia,Ar, Christopher Allen Hunter (Shelia) Arkadelphia Ar,Judie Hunter Bridges (Davin) Williamsburg,Va.She was affectionately known as Granny to 13 Grandchildren, Mario Smith (Monique) , Aaron Hunter, Andrea Garland, Aireal Hunter, Jacobie Hunter, Danni Hunter, Dallin Bridges (Jereka), Hailea Hunter Parker( Airric),Anaya Hunter, Dyon Hunter, Jordan Bridges, Christian Hunter, Caleb Bridges. 11 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces,nephews,cousins and Friends.She will truly be missed, but we find comfort in knowing that she is united again with her Husband Daniel in Gods Arms.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Greater Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Louis Shepherd officiating.
