Sheridan is the latest Arkansas city to support a Safe Haven Baby Box.
The city council voted 4-2 during a July meeting for Sheridan to start the process for a baby box.
At the meeting, Joe Scott, Sheridan’s assistant fire chief, and state Rep. Julie Mayberry (R-Hensley), who represents Grant County, spoke to council members about the need for a Baby Box.
At one point, Mayberry, who sat in the audience, stood up and pleaded to the council for the box.
