
A Clark County retailer has been cited for five separate violations and fined $1,800 by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, according to postings June 12, 2024, on the ABC Board website.
The ABC is a division of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
According to the website, Imran Arif, permitee, doing business as Gurdon Store at 1934 Highway 53 North, Gurdon, was cited in the retail beer off premises, small farm winery – retail, RC-retail permit (tobacco, vapor, alternative nicotine or e-liquid product) categories.
Violations included giving false information on his permit application; failing to be a good neighbor; employing an individual convicted of of a felony; allowing a living quarters adjacent to the permitted premises; and failing to maintain health, safety and sanitary standards. Each of the violations were discovered on Feb. 29, 2024.

In addition to the fine, Arif was placed on 90 days probation.
According to the website, fines are due July 4 or permits will be suspended.
