Larry D. Patterson, Sr., age 74, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at his home.  He was born May 17, 1949, in McDougall, AR, the son of the late George D. and Betty Joyce Rhynes Patterson.  

Larry was a retired farmer and truck driver.  He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and visiting with family and friends.  

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one great-granddaughter, Mia Leigh McWhirter, two daughter-in-laws, Deanna Lane Dunkelgod Patterson and Tonya R. Gentry Patterson.

Survivors are his wife of fifty-four years, Millie Wallace Patterson of Arkadelphia, one son, Larry D. Patterson, Jr. of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Betty L. McWhirter (James) of Hampton and Tammy S. Sims (Buddy) of Arkadelphia, one brother, Kenneth W. Patterson (Anna) of Beaumont, TX, four grand-children, J.C. McWhirter, Dustin Sims (Cheyenne), Destinee Williams (Mason) and Chris McWhirter (Christa), nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home.
