5 honored at Gurdon chamber banquet

The 2024 Gurdon Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held on the evening of Monday, April 15, at the Gurdon High School cafetorium. Henderson State University Chancellor Dr. Trey Berry was the keynote speaker.

Marena Malcom was given the Past President’s Award.

Dan Leamons was given the Special Recognition award.

Pam McMillan, owner of Pam’s Posies, was named Chamber Member of the Year.

Velvet Gonzales was honored as Gurdon’s Citizen of the Year.

Sarah Russell was named Gurdon Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
