Dispatch Desk: April 8-15

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Monday, April 8
11:28 p.m.
Devin Markel Davis, 23, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Powder Mill Apartments, 2801 Twin Rivers Dr., for public intoxication following a report of someone laying in the grass. Upon police arrival Davis reportedly got up and sat in a chair outside an apartment he said was his. The caller told police he didn’t live there.

Police investigated a report of fraud at a 27th Street address. No details were included in the report as felony cases are not available for public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department.

Tuesday, April 9
11:03 a.m.
A resident of the 1700 block of Caddo Street reported the theft of four checkbooks from a chest of drawers.

1:41 p.m.
An attempted scam was reported by a member of Second Baptist Church, as an email exchange led one member to believe another had requested a change to his bank account information. It was determined that the original email wasn’t legit, and the process was stopped before any money or further information changed hands.

Wednesday, April 10
2:43 a.m.
A woman at Pine Court Apartments, 120 N. 20th St., reported a known male violated a no-contact order she has against him. The suspect’s whereabouts were not known at the time of the report.

8:15 p.m.
Jonathan Wiley Hendrix, 32, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at the Hostess factory in Gum Springs for third-degree domestic battery following a report of domestic abuse at a 10th Street residence.

Friday, April 12
4:04 p.m.
A woman went to the police station to report a delayed accident that happened that morning at Dunkin Donuts, 2708 Pine St.

5:42 p.m.
Ebone Nicole Crockett, 34, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Dunkin Donuts for a warrant in Hot Springs. Police were at the eatery to investigate the aforementioned accident when they learned Crockett, an employee there who wanted to report her own delayed accident that happened April 1 at Taco Bell, had a warrant for her arrest.

6:17 p.m.
Officers shut down a party on Hunter Street after a neighbor complained of party-goers being unruly and parking in front of homes.

Saturday, April 13
6:51 p.m.
A Barkman Street man reported a lost or stolen trailer tag he had zip-tied to the loading ramp.

Sunday, April 14
10:49 a.m.
A Cutler Street man reported being pepper-sprayed in the face by someone he said pulled up to his house in a confrontational manner. The complainant went on to add that the suspect retreated once he noticed the complainant was prepared to defend himself, then got into his vehicle and maced him from the street. The complainant could only identify the suspect by his nickname and physical description. He was assessed at the scene by an ambulance.

Thursday, April 11
2:27 p.m.
Josh McClure, 41, of Okolona, was arrested at 234 Okolona Road for second-degree terroristic threatening and possession of a controlled substance. Deputies were summoned to the address after a report of a disturbance between McClure and another male. The arresting deputy reportedly located a crystal-like substance on his person during the arrest.
