Registration for the City of Arkadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department’s spring youth softball program is now open.
Unlike Arkadelphia Parks and Recreation’s other youth programs, the softball program is a competitive league for girls ages 5-14. The season will begin the week of April 8 and end the week of May 27. A full game schedule will be released at the conclusion of the registration period. Practice dates will be determined by the coaching staff.
“While this may be a competitive league, it is still an instructional league,” Parks and Recreation Director Stuart Tapson said. “Our top priority is to help these young athletes understand the fundamentals of softball and sportsmanship, all while having fun along the way.”
Teams are available for children ages 5 to 14. To participate, parents/guardians must pay an $85 registration fee. Registration ends on March 4, 2024. A late registration period will be held until March 11, 2024 for an additional $10 per registration.
