The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Oct. 9
12:36 p.m.
A woman reported a fraudulent $153 charge to her credit card.

7 p.m.
A Walmart customer having issues with a self checkout register lost $20 cash to the machine after walking away from it. She returned later to ask another customer if it had been seen. Management showed officers video of two women who took the note and spent it at the same register.

Tuesday, Oct. 10
11:05 a.m.
A landlord reported the possible theft of a Lowe’s delivery to a home at the 2800 block of Barkman Street. The two rolls of Formica she had ordered were delivered to the wrong address, and efforts to inquire of the neighbor were fruitless.

Officers worked a case of obstructing governmental operations involving a juvenile.

Thursday, Oct. 12
2:39 p.m.
A woman reported falling victim to identity fraud, telling police she believed a relative used her Social Security number to cancel a financial hardship program she had recently signed up for.

4:27 p.m.
Officers responded to a Pine Manor Drive residence for a report of a stolen red 1994 Nissan 240SX convertible. The complainant said the car had mechanical issues and had only recently become operable. An officer located the vehicle abandoned on Highway 67, north of Georgia-Pacific. The vehicle was towed.

Saturday, Oct. 14
1:07 a.m.
Tracy Stone, 21, of Arkadelphia, was arrested for public intoxication at North 10th Street near Pizza Hut following a complaint of a person lying in a ditch. Stone said she had left from a party at the former Ravine club.

3:18 a.m.
A West Pine Exxon clerk reported a gas drive-off totaling $150.89. The suspect provided a credit card inside the store and was pre-authorized to pump fuel. The driver would fill up a Penske box truck and drive off, headed west on Pine Street. An attempt to charge the credit card was unsuccessful.

Sunday, Oct. 15
1:57 p.m.
Billy Dean Carter, 48, was cited at Walmart for the theft of $155 worth of merchandise following a complaint from the store that a shoplifter was hiding items and removing UPC labels at a self-checkout register.

4:33 p.m.
A woman at Carpenter Hill Apartments, 670 S. 6th St., reported a neighbor and her young children trespassed onto her porch, where they tore down her potted plants and stabbed a Halloween pumpkin. The ladies are apparently in an ongoing dispute; the report does not indicate why.
