Wanda Qualls Williams

Wanda Williams, age 90, of Arkadelphia passed from this life peacefully with her family by her side on February 19, 2023 in Mountain Home, AR. She was born on August 15, 1932 in Oden, Arkansas the daughter of Rufus and Lydia Qualls.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. Wanda graduated from Oden High School in 1949. While attending Capital City Business College in Little Rock she met the love of her life, Sherwin O Williams, Sr. and they were married on December 5, 1950. Wanda graduated from Ouachita Baptist University where she received a Bachelor of Science in 1969 and a Master of Science in Education in 1971.

She taught in the Arkadelphia School System and in 1980 she and her husband opened a family-owned business, Software Systems, Inc. Wanda enjoyed working at Software Systems with her family; traveling and training their clients. She loved to entertain with bridge parties and cookouts; working in her flower garden; and spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sherwin Williams, Sr.; her son Sherwin Williams, Jr; her granddaughter Ashley Williams; three brothers J.D., Olen and George Qualls; and one sister Clara Goss.

She is survived by her daughter Kristi Perser (Brack) of Mountain Home; one grandson Joey Morgan of Nixa, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:30 on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Welch Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow starting at 1:00 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jimmy Darby officiating.

Pallbearers are Brack Perser, Joey Morgan, Phillip Shuffield and Brown Hardman.
