We are sad to announce the passing of our dear Kara Beth Stewart-Coppedge, age 33, on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Kara was born on November 19, 1989, in Arkadelphia, to Terry Stewart (deceased) and Angela Stewart Coppedge (deceased.) The birth of Kara was a blessing to her mom and all of her family after a very tragic accident that took her father’s and sister’s life earlier that year.

Kara was preceded in death by her father, her mother and sister Andrea Stewart, as well as her loving stepfather, Chris Coppedge (deceased) who chose to raise Kara as his own child. Kara was also preceded in death by her grandparents Don and Floriece Trammel of Friendship.

Kara is survived by 2 brothers, JD Groves of Hollywood, and Trenton Coppedge of Arkadelphia. She is also survived by 3 nephews, and her grandmother Cathy Clark also of Arkadelphia, who Kara joyfully referred to as “Nanny Cathy”. Kara also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved her dearly.

Anyone who truly knew Kara will remember not only her external beauty, but her internal beauty that allowed her to share a sincere love for everyone who was blessed to be in her presence. She was known to enter a room with a large smile and a happy spirit. She loved her family and her friends dearly. Kara will always be remembered for her angelic voice, her infectious laugh, her love for family and friends, as well as her love for animals, especially her dog Apollo.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
