No. 12 Reddies in 1st at Arkansas Collegiate

EL DORADO — Due to darkness, No. 12 Henderson State could not complete all 36 holes on day one of the Arkansas Collegiate. In the first round, the Reddies shot 17-over 305 as a team and are currently 6-over par with six holes left in the second round.

The men’s golf team will resume round two tomorrow at 8 a.m. and immediately go into the final round. As it stands, the Reddies are in first place with a five-stroke lead over second-place Southern Arkansas.

Nathan Cossement finished 3-over 75 on the first 18 holes and is 1-under 71 with one hole remaining in the second round. Alex Hadden ended the first round 3-over 75 with five birdies on the back nine. The Eminence, Kentucky native is shooting 1-over 73 in the second round with one hole remaining.

Both Miller Harris and Simon McBride have two holes remaining on the front nine. Harris ended round one 6-over 78 and is currently 2-over 74. McBride carded a 9-over 81 in the first 18 and is 5-over 77.

The only two Reddies to finish all 36 holes were Josh McNulty and Brady Perkins. McNulty carded 5-over 77 and 4-over 76, tallying six birdies, and concluded the first day 9-over 153, tied for sixteenth. Brady Perkins recorded a 16-over 160 after shooting 5-over 77 and 11-over 83.

HSU will look to hold onto first place entering day two of the Arkansas Collegiate.
