RUSSELLVILLE — The Great American Conference has named Ouachita Baptist University’s Taylor Koeth its women’s cross country runner of the week for the second time of the 2022 season.
The latest honor comes after Koeth led the Tigers to a first place finish at the Argonaut Invitational last Friday in Pensacola, Florida.
The Greenwood, Arkansas, native finished in first place with a 17.7-second margin over her teammate and second-place finisher Kate Nachtigal.
Koeth’s 5K time of 19:54.90 was the only time below 20 minutes and set a new meet record.
As a team, Ouachita dominated the field with seven of the top 10 individuals for a total of 16 points, 30 ahead of the host team and second place West Florida. It was Ouachita’s second 30-point team victory of the season. The first was the season-opener at home in the Bob Gravett Invitational. Koeth was the top finisher in that event also, and earned GAC runner of the week honor for that performance.
The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, October 8 at the Ozarks Invitational in Clarksville.
