RUSSELLVILLE — The Great American Conference has named Ouachita Baptist University volleyball player Lexie Castillow its defensive player of the week for her efforts in leading the Tigers to a 3-1 week.

Castillow led the GAC this past week in digs with a total of 74 for an average of 5.69 per set.
The Greenwood, Arkansas, native started the week with nine digs in a 3-2 road loss to Arkansas-Monticello, and then aided the Tigers to an undefeated showing at the Harding Invitational. She posted 23 digs in a 3-2 win over William Jewell, 28 digs and four service aces in a 3-0 win over Alabama-Huntsville, and 14 digs in a 3-0 win over Lee University.This is Castillow’s fourth career GAC player of the week award. She and the Tigers are back in Arkadelphia this week for a pair of Great American Conference matches inside the Sturgis Physical Education Center. Ouachita starts with Harding on Tuesday and then hosts Southern Arkansas on Thursday. Both matches start at 6 p.m.
