The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Aug. 14
8:14 a.m.
A Beaumont, Texas, man was arrested for public intoxication at the Baptist Health Medical Center emergency room following reports of erratic behavior. Security had restrained the man and tackled him to the ground prior to police arrival. The suspect had crashed his vehicle into a tree on I-30 and walked away from the accident, and while at the hospital admitted he had used acid.
5 p.m.
A South 11th Street woman reported being harassed by a known female.
8:19 p.m.
The theft of firearms and china was reported at a Forrest Park residence.
11:27 p.m.
A Carpenter Hill Apartments woman reported a known female attempted to gain entry to her apartment through the back door. The suspect was unsuccessful in her break-in and drove away in a white SUV.
Friday, Aug. 12
5:50 a.m.
Police arrested a man outside Mr. Suds laundromat for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police opened a felony investigation of residential burglary.

7:30 p.m.
A deputy responded to a Mt. Olive Road residence for a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife.
Saturday, Aug. 13
6 a.m.
A Hot Springs man was arrested on Red Springs Road for public intoxication.
Friday, Aug. 12
3:47 p.m.
A deputy was summoned to a Helms Road residence, where a man and woman got into a physical altercation over puppies.
7:30 p.m.
A deputy investigated a report of a burglary at a storage unit facility on West Pine Street, Arkadelphia.
Clark County Arrests
Friday, Aug. 12
Steven Clark, 21, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor, driving with a suspended license, fictitious tags, no insurance and fleeing.
Cody Ray Thornton, 30, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for a warrant.
Saturday, Aug. 13
Al C. Childs, 72, was arrested for public intoxication.
Kenneth Adam Best, 31, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for two counts of failure to appear.
Sunday, Aug. 14
Alonzo Clark, 34, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for public intoxication.
Hershell Carroll Williams Jr., 40, was arrested by Gurdon police and held for continued detention.
