Arkansas State Police have identified at least one motorist killed in an Interstate 30 pileup that left the highway shut for 24 hours.
George Thomas Adamson III, 65, was in the outside lane of the westbound lane at the time of the 12:33 p.m. crash, according to a fatal crash summary. The report says that while attempting to avoid another accident Adamson, driving a 1995 Dodge 3500 pickup, left the north side of the highway and struck a tree.
Adamson’s body was transported to the Hot Spring County Coroner’s Office.
Weather and road conditions were listed as rainy and wet, respectively, according to investigating trooper Lt. Joe Scott.
