The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Tuesday, April 19

12:21 p.m.
Multiple victims have reported their personal information was used in an attempt to obtain unemployment benefits from the State of Arkansas, caused by a breach of state databases. The perpetrators are calling the victims, claiming to be local law enforcement investigating scams and inquiring their personal information. Future victims reporting to APD will be added to the report, which will be forwarded to the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office.

1:31 p.m.
Officers arrested a man at Citgo, 3030 W. Pine St., for violating a protection order.

Officers opened a case involving a juvenile possessing a handgun.

Monday, April 18

3:11 p.m.
Officers responded to a residence at the 100 block of North 19th Street for a report of a man refusing to leave the property. The reporting officer spoke with the man, who said he was there to retrieve his belongings from his ex-girlfriend’s residence. The complainant said the man had kicked her door, causing damage to it.

3:14 p.m.
A Pine Court Apartments man reported someone slashed the rear tires on his car.

Police opened a felony case of breaking or entering.

Monday, April 18

Candace Thompson, 29, was arrested by Amity police and held for continued detention.

Tuesday, April 19

James McDaniel, 59, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for a hold by another county.
Johnny J. Russey, 39, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for violating a protection order.
Buddy New, 40, was arrested for a parole violation.
Kendrick Barton, 33, was arrested for a parole violation.
Corey Hall, 31, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for third-degree domestics battery.
Dominic Block, no age listed, was arrested by Caddo Valley police for five counts of failure to appear, failure to comply and driving with a suspended license.
Clayton Vaught, 31, was arrested and held for continued detention.
Gabrielle Peek, 30, was arrested and held for continued detention.
