The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Tuesday, March 15
2:17 a.m.
A Carriage Place woman reported a male suspect violated the protection order she has against him, as she arrived home to find him in the residence. He fled the area on foot, but was later located near 23rd and Haddock streets and was taken into custody.
5:34 p.m.
A Clay Street woman reported a known female who was expected to purchase her car instead took the vehicle to Georgia and has yet to return the car or make a payment since she left on March 6. Officers advised the complainant of civil procedures.
Officers worked a case of third-degree domestic battery involving a juvenile.
Monday, March 14
9:46 a.m.
A woman reported a known male struck her in the head and held her neck to the floor until she lost consciousness. She was advised of warrant procedures.
5:10 p.m.
Officers responded to a welfare concern at the 700 block of South 25th Street.
4 p.m.
A Village Drive man reported getting billed $917 for utilities at a house in Minnesota, where he said he’s never lived.
Police opened a felony case of forgery.
9:50 p.m.
A Lark Place woman reported someone entered her residence and stole three sets of cookware, still in their original packaging, from the kitchen cabinets. The suspect also took two lamp shades from her bedroom nightstands and replaced them with lamp shades of a different color.

4:42 p.m.
Officers responded to Courtyard Gardens, 2701 Twin Rivers Drive, for a report that a resident was able to gain entry outside the facility through a malfunctioning exterior door that led to an unlocked gate in a courtyard. Staff located the resident in the parking lot.

5:10 p.m.
A Gurdon man reported the theft of his coin collection, valued at $1,000, and a switch-blade knife, possibly by a known suspect.

Matthew Daron Ray, 36, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for failure to appear for trial.
Tuesday, March 15
Juan Pozorrow Scott, 55, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for violation of a protection order.
