RUSSELLVILLE — Ouachita Baptist University softball player Madison Miller has been selected as the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week for her efforts in a 4-1 week for the Tigers.
Miller went 3-0 in the circle with three complete game victories in home wins over Central Baptist, Midwestern State, and Christian Brothers.
In a 4-1 win over Central Baptist last Tuesday, the Nashville, Arkansas native allowed just one unearned run on four hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work.
On Saturday, Miller led the Tigers to a 2-1 win over Midwestern State with just one run allowed on three hits with seven strikeouts.
On Sunday, she gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits with five strikeouts in a 6-3 win over Christian Brothers.
Overall for the week, she posted a 0.67 earned run average and held opponents to a .145 batting average.
Miller and the Tigers are back in action this weekend at home against Oklahoma Baptist for the first GAC games of the season.
