Several Columbia County deputies were treated for exposure to Fentanyl following a traffic stop Thursday, September 12, 2024. One man was arrested.
According to a statement issued Thursday night by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and a K-9 unit initiated a traffic stop. During the search of the vehicle, deputies discovered with appeared to be a package possibly containing Fentanyl.
Deputies began showing signs of being exposed to Fentanyl and were taken to the Magnolia Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
