Johnson announces bid for Clark County Clerk

I, Tina Johnson, would like to officially announce my candidacy for the office of Clark County Clerk. I count it an honor to run for County Clerk in the upcoming 2022 Democratic Primary.

I am currently employed as the Chief Deputy Clerk which is located in the Clark County Courthouse. I have been gainfully employed in the County Clerk’s Office since 2012. During this time, I have been fortunate to learn from two great Clerks: previous Clerk, Rhonda Cole and present Clerk, Mona Vance. During my tenure, I served as Deputy Clerk for over seven years, and I have served in my current position as Chief Deputy Clerk since March 2020. I have gained great knowledge of the operations of this office. It is important to me that the future of this office continues to operate in an organized manner. I will continue to fulfill my duties and responsibilities as necessary to ensure all tasks are performed with efficiency and accuracy.

My previous work experience includes 12 years in banking, with three of those years as teller supervisor. I have five years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician. I am a licensed life insurance producer in the State of Arkansas. I hold a business certificate from the University of Arkansas in Hope. I also hold a certificate of completion from the Business and Banking Institute in Omaha, Nebraska, and lastly, I am a Mary Kay beauty consultant.

I grew up in Gurdon and graduated from Gurdon High School, class of 1986. I am a mother of four and “Nana” to five amazing grandchildren whom I love and adore. I have been a member of the Tate Temple Church of God in Christ for 14 years where I presently serve as a Trustee Board Member. I also serve as the Sunshine Band President for our children ministry in my local church, and in the Arkadelphia District Church of God in Christ.

If I am elected as your County Clerk, I will continue to work relentlessly for the citizens of Clark County. My work experience, dedication and dependability, along with my interpersonal skills, makes me a worthy candidate for this office. We have a great office staff, and we will join our forces to provide the utmost level of customer service, respect for our citizens, and integrity for this office. I am available and prepared to put drive, energy and experience to work for you, the residents of Clark County.

I appreciate your support and I look forward to the opportunity of serving you!
