Miss OBU Scholarship Competition slated for Feb. 12

The Miss OBU 2022 Scholarship Competition will be held Saturday, Feb. 12th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Jones Performing Arts Center at Ouachita Baptist University. Caroline Derby is the reigning Miss OBU 2020/2021, having served for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  There are nine students competing for the title this year:

Cloe Humphry, a senior worship arts major from Benton
Jillian Covington, a freshman communications major from Alexandria, Louisiana
Haley Shourd, a freshman music and communications major from Conway
Emilee Webb, a sophomore political science and English major from Leola
Kylie Carpenter, a freshman biology major from Benton
Jillian Parsons, a junior graphic design and communications major from Celina, Texas
Kaelin Clay, a freshman music industry and communications major from Idabel, Oklahoma
Julianna Parsons, a junior business entrepreneurship and marketing major from Celina, Texas 
Kensley Flynn, a freshman biology and chemistry major from Cabot. 

These nine young women will be competing for over $6,000 in scholarships and awards in the categories of private interview, onstage interview and social impact initiative, talent, and eveningwear. The winner will compete in The Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition June 11-19 in Little Rock. 

Tickets are $7 for students and $12 for adults and may be purchased at the door or in advance at obu.edu/boxoffice. Masks will be required inside Jones Auditorium.
