
A Nashville man died after attempting to cross an interstate highway at night.
Justin Clay Byers, 34, of Nashville, was killed Monday, Jan. 24, in Miller County. An Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary notes that Byers attempted to cross I-49 near the 32 mile-marker when he was struck by a northbound Buick Regal, driven by a Texarkana man.
The report indicates that both Byers and the driver of the Buick were transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center following the accident, which happened at 1:26 a.m.
Byers was pronounced deceased at 4:39 a.m. His body was being held at the Wadley Morgue.
Weather and road conditions were listed as clear and dry, respectively. Cpl. Les Munn of the Texarkana Police Department investigated the crash.
