Tracy Rider has announced her candidacy for the office of Clark County Clerk.
A longtime Arkadelphia resident, Rider spent 25 years in banking and office management prior to the opening of The Farmhouse in downtown. She also has served one year as District 5 Justice of the Peace on the Clark County Quorum Court.
“I feel that as a local business owner, office manager and with my experience on the Quorum Court I can serve Clark County even better with this position,” Rider said.
She graduated from Arkadelphia High School and started a family in 1998. She worked as office manager for Dr. Scott Byrd for 16.5 years.
Rider and her husband David are active members of Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. They have three children, all of whom have attended Arkadelphia Public Schools: sons Devin and Tanner and daughter Emmie.
Rider is also a member of the A-Town Army that helps with local events.
“I moved to Clark County when I was 12 and have lived, worshiped and served here since,” Rider said. “I really love this community and plan to continue to work hard to keep us going and growing strong,” Rider said.
