ARKADELPHIA — Henderson State senior receiver L’liott Curry was named the 2021 D2CCA All-Super Region 3 First Team for the second-straight season on Wednesday afternoon.
Curry, who finished no. 3 nationally in receptions (91), yards (1297), touchdowns (16), yards per game (117.9) and receptions per game (8.3), was the leading vote-getter among all receivers in the region and finished as the runner-up for Super Region 3 Offensive Player of the Year.
The Guthrie, Oklahoma native ended the regular season as the active leader among all NCAA DII players in career receiving yards (3427). During his two season with the Reddies, Curry led all players nationally with 175 receptions and 108.7 receiving yards per game. He is Henderson’s first back-to-back First Team All-Super Region 3 honoree since Kevin Rodgers and Darius Davis in 2013 and 2014.
An Honorable Mention All-American in 2019, Curry now advances to the national ballot, where he will look to become just the seventh player in Henderson State history to be recognized as a two-time NCAA All-American.
