ARKADELPHIA — The Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District will host a job fair on Thursday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Arkadelphia Recreation Center, 2555 Twin Rivers Drive.
Twenty-four area businesses and organizations will be at the event and are looking to fill more than 100 positions. Job seekers should arrive interview ready with resume in hand and wearing appropriate business attire. Heartland Pharmacy will also be offering flu shots for insured individuals, free of cost.
“One of our missions is to help our Chamber members thrive,” says Nikki Chandler, executive vice-president. “Part of thriving is having the proper employees and this job fair will hopefully align our members with the right employees. Part of the Alliance is economic development. It is hard for these companies to prosper if they are not fully staffed. Through the job fair, we can hopefully help them become fully staffed,” Chandler adds.
Since 1921, the Arkadelphia Alliance and Chamber of Commerce has worked to foster economic growth and development in the area to ensure that business, industry and education may operate profitably, and to enhance learning opportunities and quality of life for every citizen.
