The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Wednesday, Sept. 15
11:37 a.m.
Officers arrested a woman at 6th and Crittenden streets for disorderly conduct after receiving a report of a subject outside yelling and cursing.

3:42 p.m.
Police responded to a residence at the 1300 block of Walnut Street, where a couple reported their neighbors’ Rottweiler broke free from its chain and chased them inside their house. The boyfriend said a verbal altercation ensued and threats were made after the neighbors watched him swing a baseball bat at the dog in an attempt to scare it away. The dog was back home by the time police arrived to talk to the neighbors, whose account maintained they were the victims of the threats.

8:35 p.m.
Police arrested a woman at the 300 block of North 12th Street for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. They responded to a residence there for a report of a female coming to the complainant’s door and wanting to enter the residence. Officers arrived to find the suspect pants-less and passed out in her car. Two containers of an alcoholic beverage, as well as a marijuana pipe, were also in the vehicle.

9:34 p.m.
Officers arrested a man at the 900 block of North 26th Street for public intoxication after receiving a report of a belligerent subject there. The suspect resisted arrest and head-butted the glass of the patrol car on his way to jail, where he was released into the care of jailers in a restraining chair.

10:08 p.m.
Officers took a harassment complaint from a college student who said a physical altercation between her and her roommates took place at her off-campus residence.

Thursday, Sept. 16
10:30 a.m.

A woman reported being harassed by a relative who calls her multiple times a day and making comments that make her feel unsafe. Police explained procedures on how to obtain a no-contact order against the relative.

2:15 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Pioneer Inn for a report of a homeless man “breaking glass” out of a room. They arrived to find the man in the room, watching television in bed; there was no damage to a window. Police had the man gather his belongings and leave the property.

Arrests

Wednesday, Sept. 15
April Michele Smithwick, 41, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for disorderly conduct.
Jason Toliver, 33, was arrested for obstructing governmental operations.
Tina Dorris, 53, was arrested for probation violation.
Chloe Caskey, 24, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for public intoxication and possession of an instrument of crime.
William Jordan, 43, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Thursday, Sept. 16
Katrina Alera Trigg, 20, continued detention.
Eric Dewayne Gentry, 39, was arrested for probation violation and a bench warrant.
