11:36 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Officers cited three truck drivers at Pine Plaza for prohibited parking.

Saturday, Aug. 28
9:07 a.m.
A Twin Rivers Drive woman reported a known male stole her purse, which contained more than $500 in cash. Officers contacted the suspect, who denied the theft and allowed a walk-through search of his residence. A search of his residence, as well as a search of trash bins, yielded negative results.

2:05 p.m.
A Celebrations employee reported a customer backed into his parked truck on Aug. 27 at about 11:15 p.m. The suspect drove away from the scene without reporting the accident.

4 p.m.
A woman reported that on Aug. 27 at 11:45 p.m. she had a car accident at Walnut and 25th Street Circle. She said someone had been tailgating her on Walnut, making her nervous, and that in an attempt to evade the person she drove up onto a curb and struck a tree.

4:54 p.m.
A man helping his mother move at the 1000 block of Village Drive reported two juveniles were going around the neighborhood opening doors to residences. The knob turners were last seen fleeing south on Village Drive.

Friday, Aug. 27
8:51 p.m.
A deputy responded to Highway 182, Amity, for a report of an unoccupied wrecked car. The driver arrived as police were checking on the severely damaged vehicle. He said the accident happened the night prior, and that he had swerved to miss a deer, drove into the ditch and struck a tree.

Arrests

Friday, Aug. 27
James R. Chittum, 64, was arrested for an absconder warrant.

Saturday, Aug. 28
Jamey R. Dyer, 44, was arrested for failure to appear, failure to comply and driving with a suspended license.

Sunday, Aug. 29
Marcus D. Jackson, 30, continued detention.
Terry H. Cox, 47, continued detention.
