The Ouachita Baptist University Concert Band will present its Christmas concert Monday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Performing Arts Center.
A Service of Lessons and Carols features Advent scripture reading alternated with Christmas carols, inviting audience members to explore and celebrate Jesus’ birth and sing along to familiar songs.
The program will include three small student-led vocal ensembles, handbells, a live pit band and dancers from DancePraize.
From “hold me closer Tony Danza” to “There’s a wino down the road,” Stacker clears up some of the biggest mondegreens in music.
The production is an ensemble show without specific roles, which gives each of the student vocalists a moment to shine.
Winners of the Silver Medal Global Music Award for their 2018 debut album “Asteria,” the group performs a broad range of music and has toured throughout the United States, China, Mexico and Europe.
After more than a year since their last live show, Evans and the band are eager to perform.
