Clark County prosecutor gives update on drug task force seizures

The 9th East Judicial District Drug Task Force has been in continuous operation for 35 years. Its agents have a combined law enforcement experience in excess of 130 years.

In the past fiscal year the Group 6 Narcotics Enforcement Agency opened 299 new cases and closed 219 cases with arrests. Some of the illegal substances seized included over 127 pounds of methamphetamine ICE, 225 pounds of cocaine, over 2 pounds of crack cocaine, over 77 pounds of marijuana, almost 2 pounds of fentanyl and over 25,000 prescription pills. More than 16,000 of the prescription pills were opioids. Other drug seizures included ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, K2, Kratom and numerous illegally possessed THC products.

Group 6 agents focus not only on drug enforcement but have utilized their many years of training and expertise to assist in investigating, arresting and the prosecution of individuals responsible for numerous burglaries, assaults, homicide, human trafficking and crimes against children.

The numerous accomplishments and seizures resulted in the Group 6 drug task force being ranked 7th overall in the state of Arkansas for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year.
